It’s really interesting when you see life through the eyes of your child. My child apparently sees everything in a blurry haze with a blown out flash. And butts. Lots and lots of butts.
My parents gave Zack his own digital camera for Christmas. Can you believe that three-year-olds have digital cameras now? Anyway, I downloaded his photos to my computer today, and it’s really hilarious to see what images he chooses to capture.
I apparently spend a lot of time giving him cheesy smiles and staring at him with glowing devil eyes.
One of our dogs, Jackson, who actually is in Zack’s face all the time, as this photo indicates.
I remember him taking this one. He said he wanted to take a picture of me. Steal the spotlight much, kid?
His is a Disney camera, so he can add his favorite characters to pictures. Like this one he took of Daddy.
Doesn’t it look like Mickey is telling Tom, “Oh, no you didn’t!”?
I never really thought about it, but Zack is directly eye level with our rear ends. That’s just a lovely view, don’t you think?
Zack has started wanting to take photos when I’m taking photos for the blog. Here’s one he took of a new project I’ll share with you next week.
And here’s one he took of me taking a picture of him taking a picture of me. Did that even make sense?
I’m pretty proud that one is centered and even kind of in focus. Good job, son!
It has been fun to be able to see our lives through Zack’s camera lens. As much as I think kids having things like digital cameras and cell phones is just flat out insane, his photos really do give a unique perspective. Maybe I should work on decorating at his eye level so he’ll have more interesting things to capture!

Your post cracked me up, no pun intended! Love the child’s eye view. My little grandson got his dad’s phone and somehow figured out the camera and took all kinds of kooky photos with it, fun! Life is indeed beautiful through a child’s eyes. Have a wonderful weekend!
I love seeing what my daughter takes pictures of. She’s had her camera for a couple of years. She’s now 5. One rule: No pictures of mommy’s bumm!
We have lots of pictures of the cats, her favorite toys and her favorite foods. Awhile ago I also did a post on what pictures Halli took.
You are so brave–posting these! My son has one of these, too. It would be fun for him (any child) to do “A Day in the Life of…” and encourage them to take photos throughout a typical day…hmmm…just thinking aloud, here. Thank you and your son for the wonderful inspiration!
Ha!! TOO FUNNY!!! Reminds me of my daughter when she was little. Except back then I would give her disposable cameras so we would end up developing…well you guessed it…pretty much butts. LOL.

That is adorable! My son LOVES taking photos and he takes them of the same sorts of things. Super close ups of dogs, rear ends. I just had to laugh seeing all those photos! My son, who is 8, also sneaks in some videos now and then. That is always scary, later hearing yourself in a video you didn’t know he was making! Not to mention the messy rooms he captures!
