Lindsay, I'm trying to figure out the same thing... I've got two (odds & ends) nightstands that I would very much like to mirror -- trying to do the master bedroom with a lavender-silver color scheme. I'm thinking that I could sand down both nightstands, prime (imagining that the under-base should be a dark slate gray blackish sort of color), use silver leaf (seal the silver leaf) or silver paint (applied with a sponge sparingly and sealed), then apply squares and rectangles of mirror with a construction adhesive. My only fear is that I'll go through all this and it will end up looking like a fifth grade craft project, in desperate need of glued on macaroni, for a 'finished' look...

My concern is cutting and sanding the mirror, so that opening the drawers or feeling/touching the edges won't lead to an emergency room visit... I suppose I'll have to do my research to insure that this doesn't occur.

If you find or figure out a way to accomplish such a project, please let me know.

You can just make your own mirrored nightstand with tiles OR do what I did for my boyfriend - he's a guitarist and always raved about a broken-mirror guitar of Paul Stanley's from KISS. I got an old guitar and smashed mirror panels under a comforter and mosaic'ed the broken shards onto the guitar and grouted it. It came out beautifully. I'm sure the same can be done to furniture.

The Horchow nightstand looks stunning. Even at that price it's a MUST have. I'm totally addicted to mirrored furniture and just love the effect they have in the room, especially the bedroom. It's actually a lot easier than you thinnk to get a similar result with pre-cut glass panels and some glue.

Hi! Just found you're very amusing site. I am in the UK and recently bought some very well priced mirrored bedroom furniture from a website called Out There Interiors. Unfortunately my (stupid!!!) husband hit one of the bedside tables on his way up the stairs and now I have a crack in the top of one.
I am DESPERATE to get this fixed without having to buy another. Not sure how old your blog post is, but if you had any joy with I'd really love to hear it!!
For your info, I've linked to the Mirrored Furniture page on Out There Interiors - not sure if they deliver to the USA, but it might be worth asking?!!
Thanks in advance
Tracy
