My New Fave: The Inglenook Decor

by Lindsay on November 27, 2009

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine forwarded me an email that was sent to her. She said something along the lines of, “I thought you might like this.”

Uh, yeah. I didn’t just “like” it, I loved it.

I would like to introduce you to one of my newest favorite online shops, The Inglenook Decor.

Filled to the brim with delicious finds for your home, The Inglenook Decor is an Austin-based shop dedicated to bring you “exciting decor for your urban cottage.” I was initially drawn to the shop because it was a locally owned (for me, at least) decor shop, but after searching through page after page of fantastic pieces, I knew that it was a shop that I needed to bring to you guys. Not only does it feature beautiful items, but the prices are incredibly reasonable. Love that!

Some of my favorite items are:

Antiqued Mercury Glass Finch Ornament – I actually purchased one of these. I have dreams about them. I can’t get enough (And no, I cannot explain my obsession with birds.).

Antique White Lidded Jars

Gold Leaf Metal Birds Nest with Silver Spoon

Antiqued Mercury Glass Bottle Tealight Holder

Now you see why I LOVE this shop, right?

Well, in a move completely out of character for me, I emailed the shop’s owner, Maureen, and was all, “SWAK LOVE MWAH ACK KISSES!” and asked her if I could feature her wonderful shop on my blog. Maureen not only agreed, but she offered a 15% discount on everything to the readers of Living With Lindsay! What do you think about that? At checkout, simply enter Lindsay15 as the coupon code and your discount will be automatically reflected. The code will be valid today through December 11th.

So, look at that. You can cross some people off of your holiday shopping list from the comfort of your own home (and maybe even pick up a little somethin’-somethin’ for yourself) at a discount! I love nothing more than shopping Black Friday in my bathrobe (which is fluffy and pink, by the way). Stop by The Inglenook Decor and check it out!

P.S. Maureen also runs a great blog in conjunction with The Inglenook Decor. Her blog, Ingle Talk, is a must-read.

What a great shop! And thanks for your tip about testing paint colors…I have a feeling that very soon all my pictures will have test colors living behind them!

Thank you Lindsay, it really is a great site! But, just a heads up for anyone who shops at Inglenook Decor…I added an item to my shopping cart directly from the category list (i.e., Garden Decor) and only later went back and clicked through to the product description and found a note that it was sold out. The site's shopping cart isn't one of the more sophisticated apps (like one that would 1. add to the cart but tell you it was sold out and let you decide whether to order anyway and receive when restocked; or 2. wouldn't let you add a sold-out item to the cart.)

Thanks so much Lindsay for a wonderful, wonderful post & thanks people for the amazing comments. :)

I've been checking on the comments consistently & thanks Karen for the insight. The cart's back end gives me a lot of options as to what I need it to do. I wanted items to be "hidden" when sold out but I may have to rethink that as ur thoughts are definitely something to consider. Thanks so much! I'm really learning a lot. If u would like to e-mail me as to the item u want, I can possibly get it for u. Thanks again!
