Teach Me Tuesday: Clip-Art Photo Calendar

January 12, 2010

Posted in: Your Home, Your Way

Welcome to Teach Me Tuesday! I spend a lot of time each week reading all of the great DIY tips out there in Blogland. Because there are so many fabulous projects that I can’t wait to try, I figured that it would be fun to feature some of my very favorites here each Tuesday.

If you have a home decor tutorial that you would like to be featured in an upcoming edition of Teach Me Tuesday, please email me at LivingWithLindsay@gmail.com!
Ms. Martha has done it again. In this month’s Martha Stewart Living magazine, she features a ridiculously easy (and lovely) DIY calendar project. She even includes links to print your own calendar pages in a very sleek design from her wonderful website.
This one you all can do in a matter of minutes. I think this is so simple and classy, yet makes a very big statement.
Martha shows us how:
Enjoy a favorite photo every day by incorporating it into a calendar.
Photo Calendar How-To
1. Download and print our clip-art monthly pages. (Lindsay note: I suggest printing the pages on cardstock so the edges don’t roll in humid areas.)

January: Gray or Orange

February: Gray or Orange

March: Gray or Orange

April: Gray or Orange

May: Gray or Orange

June: Gray or Orange

July: Gray or Orange

August: Gray or Orange

September: Gray or Orange

October: Gray or Orange

November: Gray or Orange

December: Gray or Orange

2. Cut out. Attach two small screw hooks on one long side of a wooden picture frame.

3. Punch small holes in top of each page to align with hooks. Slip pages onto hooks.

From Martha Stewart Living, January 2010
I think this calendar would be perfect for a home office or the kitchen. I could even see it hanging near my bathroom vanity.
Does it get any easier than this? Nope, it sure doesn’t. Thanks AGAIN for the wonderful ideas, Martha!
