Loose Ends

August 9, 2010

Posted in: Giveaways & Product Reviews

This weekend, I was full-on nesting.  I went from being a lazy gal in my La-Z-Boy recliner, to the Energizer Bunny scrubbing everything in sight.  Baseboards. Floors. Walls.  Yes, it was absolutely insane.

But alas, no baby yet.

So, here I sit (I’m lazy again), trying to wrap up some loose ends that are floating around.  There are so many things I wanted to do and show you before the baby arrived, but it’s just not going to happen.  I figure you are soon going to be so distracted by cute baby pictures, that you really aren’t going to care.  :D

One thing that I MUST show you, though, are these wonderful decals that my friend Jodi at Back40 Life made for Emma and Zack.

Jodi custom made this monogram for Emma’s wall.  We measured the inside area of my favorite oval frame so that it would fit perfectly inside.  Isn’t that neat looking?

Jodi also surprised us with some vinyls for Zack!  He was too funny – “How did she know I have cars in my room and my favorite color is blue?”  Poor kid doesn’t quite understand Mommy’s blog yet.  Nevertheless, he LOVES that his name is on his door.  They are just too perfect.

Thanks, Jodi!  Jodi and her great vinyls can be found at Back40Life on Etsy.

I’ll have one more giveaway at the end of this week, and that will probably be my last post before D-Day (Delivery Day) or B-Day (Baby Day) or E-Day (Eviction Day) or whatever you want to call it.  Unless she makes an appearance on her own (I was gunning for today 8/9/10, but she had other plans), I’m scheduled to be induced on Sunday.  Expect pictures next week!  EEK and YAY!

Absolutely adorable. I need to check out Back 40 Life.

So you’re gonna have a baby girl any day now! Doesn’t get much more exciting than that, does it? Lots of luck with the delivery–I had three great experiences with Pitocin, myself. (Yes, all three–and all went really well!)

Thanks! I had a Pit delivery with my son, too, and it was awesome – short and sweet with no problems at all. Fingers crossed that this one goes the same way.

So exciting!! My best advice is to keep resting, but also to spend some special one on one time with your little man before the baby gets here. That’s something I wish I had done before my second child arrived.

Yeah, we’ve been trying to do something special together – just the two of us – every day. I’ve even braved Chuck E Cheese. LOL

I love the monograms she made – especially the one in the frame, it’s too precious.

On the Scentsy winner, which Melissa? *lol*

Good luck, Lindsay! If you’re getting brave, my midwife/doctor told me to drink castor oil. Baby came out same day. Granted, it could have very well been coincidental, which means I muscled down the castor oil for no good reason. :P

I know – I keep hearing those stories! My grandmother even took it to induce my Mom. I’m not that brave though – at least until my mom arrives tomorrow night to be here to watch my son. LOL

Haha, if you get to that point, email me. I’ve got some castor oil tricks up my sleeve.
