Meet Lindsay

Howdy! I’m Lindsay Ballard, author of the DIY home decor blog Living With Lindsay.  Through this site, I strive to help my readers easily create vibrant spaces that combine individual family needs with an eclectic flair. I’m here to show you how well-placed color and pattern can help bring a lot of fun and style to your home.

As the mother of two young children, two rambunctious dogs, and wife to a messy (although quite handy) husband, I understand that it is simply impossible for most families to live in homes like those featured on the glossy pages of design magazines. I get a rush from using the inspiration behind those images to help create spaces that real people can enjoy in their very real homes.

My blog and its story are proof that you don’t need to be intimidated by design. Instead of worrying about some set of arbitrary decorating rules, I’m more interested in loving my decor than I am in it being “right.” There is no doubt that the popularity of Living With Lindsay stems from my empowering other people to do the same. With little more than a paintbrush and glue gun, I know that you too can turn your home into a space you love.
