According to a survey of 5,000 people, more than 60% of them use CBD to help them when it comes to things like anxiety. But many people are still sceptical of CBD, however, there really is no need. There is enough evidence now to prove that CBD does actually work and isn’t harmful to you. Of course, if you decide not to use it then that’s your decision. But if you think that it’s time that you buy CBD and see what the benefits are then great!
You will probably have read somewhere that the CBD industry is flourishing, and for all the right reasons. It’s not being added to cheeseburgers, toothpicks and even breath sprays as many people have been claiming that it helps them. The main reason people take CBD is for anxiety, but it can also help with chronic pain, insomnia, and depression as well. So, as you can see there are clearly huge benefits to taking CBD.
What is CBD?
So, what exactly is CBD? Well, CBD is actually cannabidiol, which is the lesser-known child of the cannabis sativa plant. Its more famous sibling, tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC is the active ingredient in pot that catapults users’ “high”. This is why so many people originally have issues with CBD, but there is nothing wrong with it. Although it should be pointed out that THC is psychoactive, and CBD may or may not be, which is a matter of debate.
TBC can increase anxiety, whilst CBD has been known to reduce anxiety, which is why so many people are happy to use. Anxiety plays a huge part in people’s life, so finding something that can help them is a huge benefit to them, which would make sense since CBD is increasing in popularity. However, it is important to point out that they are still investigating what CBD can actually do, so if you are planning to take CBD you need to make sure that you do your own research.
Reduces Anxiety and PTSD
One of the key benefits to taking CBD, which has been mentioned prior, is that it can help reduce anxiety and PTSD. If you think of it with this example, students often struggle with things like speaking in front of their class. A four-minute talk, with minimal time to prepare can be debilitating. Yet taking CBD, can often lead to reduced nervousness and cognitive impairment, meaning that the student does better in that class, and gets over their nerves.
It has often been described as a calming drug, which is why so many people find that it can also help many soldiers who have return home haunted from war and PTSD. They will often avoid certain activities, meeting people, going places, but when CBD is involved this can often help them and let them live their life, something which is only fair after they have been fighting for their country. Why deny them this?
Helps with Sleep and Depression
One of the other benefits that CBD has though, is that it can help with sleep and depression. For people who can never get to sleep, and just watch random videos on their phone at night, they can often struggle with the rest of their day. But being able to use CBD as a sleep aid can help them not struggle the next day. When your sleep is disrupted, it can often lead to things like depression, so it’s best to try and avoid this.
If CBD can help you sleep, or feel happier in yourself then it is totally worth it. Of course, this might all just be a placebo effect, but what’s the harm in that if it makes people feel good? There are so many benefits, and it has helped many people so there is definitely something good to come out of it.
